The fresh meat is placed under pressure and is expeller-pressed instead of by using chemical solvents to yield pure, uncontaminated coconut oil. This gentle and natural pressing yields pure oil with low moisture and 50–57% lauric acid content.

The softgels have a deep red colour that comes from the annatto extract used in their making. Annatto extract is sourced from the seeds of the tropical fruit annatto (Bixa orellana L.). It has a long history of use and is a rich source of tocotrienols and potent antioxidants. Annatto extract also adds UV protection and stability to the contents of the softgels.
